My fiancee needs to get a new birth certificate by the first week of August. I know she needs to get it from the NSO in Butuan, however there is a problem. Her original birth certificate has her fathers name misspelt on it (this was issued locally)

Will this affect her chances of getting a new one? Her father has lost his birth certificate.

She needs to get one by four weeks time as that is when i'm going to the embassy for my CNI.

Can anyone offer some advice?

Thanks

Seems to me that the NSO records, which will be used to issue the new one, will most likely reflect the mis-spelling. It would be useful if her father could go with her, to explain.

Your fiancee will need to go to the city hall were bcert issued and get a petition for correction of clerical error on bcert around 1000peso,from ther it gets sent to NSO, prob is it can take up to 2months if the city hall are slow..
