Hi John
As soon as I got my ticket I emailed the Embassy and requested an appointment advising them of my arrival date, roughly about 4 weeks before I travelled. They replied giving me an appointment the day after I arrived in Manila.
The local CNI was issued on the same day.

Well I mailed them last week about a date in October :icon_lol: Got my first choice, actually twice because idiot here forgot about time differences for the flight and had to ask to move it a day ahead.

I built in a contingency day after arrival. If you are arriving in Typhoon season it is worth bearing it in mind and allow maybe an extra day for that.

Thanks for the advise :) I think I may allow one day grace.

Yep. I think we were lucky as we had no real delays, but the day I arrived there was a typhoon, or had been and it was bucketing it down when we arrived. I think I was just a few hours delayed on arrival but on a different day it could be longer. Also we had a day when getting across Manila was difficult due to the heavy rains.
