Hello :)
What are you planning for? Fiancee Visa or Spouse Visa?..I think his saving is alright as long as your husband/fiance is earning £18, 600 for his annual income (no dependant).
Let's wait for others to comment and give you more advice. (I'm not that knowledgeable enough for this matter) :) Take care and God bless you.. xxx

Hi joannet,
Take a look here (http://filipinaroses.com/showthread.php/39869-All-New-Guide-How-to-apply-for-a-Fiance-Visa)
Take special notice of the financial requirements
Although there are some special exceptions, in principle your partner/fiance/spouse will need a minimum income of £18600
This will need to be supported by evidence for the previous 6 months

Yes, sadly the same financial requirements are applied to any visa leading to settlement.

Hi Joannet, Dont worry too much, my wife applied for her spouse 'visa' 27th April this year and it arrived 18th May and I'm only on state pension with serps, at the time of the application only had less than £4000 savings. Good luck with your application.

Unfortunately Michael, the rules were changed massively on and after 9th July 2012 for all partner/fiance(e)/spouse applications.
There is now a requirement for a minimum income of £18600 per year for a basic couple. Even more if dependant children make application.
Your application was made just in time.
Enjoy your blessings
