My family will be travelling to Manila and North Luzon over Christmas. Can anyone living near Amersham/Aylesbury/High Wycombe teach me some basic spoken phrases before I go?

There are plenty of internet sites where you can pick up basic tagalog phrases plus there are tagalog apps for mobile phones. Failing that, you can buy courses on CD for a few quid off Ebay.

:) "Maayong Buntag!" That's about the strength of MY knowledge, I'm afraid, Paulin. But it appears to be the recognised Tagalog greeting for "Good Morning" - wherever one travels throughout the Philippines. So, in the meantime ... :welcomex: to the friendly, online filipino/uk community, and all the best in your quest. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
