Hi everyone

Returned from the RP 3 months ago and it's been an endless circle of job applications and rejections much worse than I anticipated. However got the confirmation yesterday of a position paying (well) in excess of the £18.6k requirement so the 6 month payslip countdown begins!!! Will be able to go and visit my wife and son for Christmas also which is such a huge relief. I've not seen her smile on Skype so much ever haha.

So good luck to all the others waiting, it will happen eventually.

I lived on the IoM for 30 odd years, 15 spent in an IT sales role. Left 6.5 years ago and retrained as a scuba instructor working in Panglao and somehow ended up with a wife and son haha. Education/Healthcare is a little bit lacking there so returned back to my folks whist applying for spouse visa but no work in York, so fortunately some old contacts have offered me a job back in Douglas. Will need to act as a sponsor from there but talking with the wife she is excited as quite a few people there came out for the wedding in Bohol, so she's not going to be worried about making friends with plenty of support.

I gather there is diving to be done here. There's a dive shop in Port St Mary.

Although I have heard the diving off the IoM is pretty good I've never dived in water colder than 24C so might have a problem :icon_lol:
