Sir Chris Hoy has cemented his place in the history books by grabbing his fifth Olympic gold medal.
Britain's men's team pursuit quartet of Hoy, Philip Hindes and Jason Kenny beat France in the final of the three-man, three-lap team sprint at the Velodrome.
In the semi-final against Japan, they set a world record of 42.747 seconds to go through as fastest qualifiers to meet France in a repeat of the final four years ago in Beijing.

Germany took the bronze medal in their battle against Australia.

Fantastic 2 rounds of cycling. Lead off by youth and brought home to glory by the experienced Sir Chris.
