Hopkins for A1 Exam

I am planing my wife's english test and i called Hopkins International Partners that is based in Manila anf they were very helpful. Their main exam centre is in Makati. They gave me the link to their website. Is this the place that most people use?

I see they have a exam centre in Cebu, is this the one that a few people have had problems with?

I need to get the pass papers before mid October so i am not keen on my wife taking the exam in her home city of Cebu if it takes a while to get the results back, i will send her to Manila.

I have noticed that many forum members have used Hopkins in Manila, including my wife. I have no complaints about them at all. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

much better for your wife to take the exam at Hopkins Makati coz they will conduct all the exams unlike in Cebu where they only conduct Listening and Reading exam

Thanks mate, i will tell her Manila in the best place to take the exam, just not sure about the centre in Cebu even though it would only be a short taxi ride away.

In theory the 2 centres ought to be the same in the way they are run. In theory....

In theory yes but i thought they send the exam to Makati and then to my wife and that is why there is a long delay in the processing time.

I'm going to take the exam on Wednesday, it was written on my confirmation letter that I could get or pick-up the result on that day of my Listening and Reading exam, they will send me the result of Speaking the day after of the exam.

Took the English exams at Hopkins Makati last July 25, 2012 and passed the listening, reading test with scores of 660 and speaking test with score of 120. My advice its better to get the workshop, its a big help.

Also email VFS. They normally reply within 24 hours. They will tell you what the requirement is, on behalf of the UKBA.
It will be the same test. Just the level of pass required has changed. Where it was an A1 level of pass required, it is changing to a B1 level of pass.

Just been looking on the VFS site and i found this, i think we are ok until Oct 2013.

You can not do the workshop and the exams on the same day. To do the workshop as well my wife would have to fly to Manila twice in 7 days and she has a shop to run. It would not be practical.
