Does anyone here have any experience of using the VIMS extenstion of stay process ?. It would appear that you can stay additonal days up to 59 on a uk passport on arrival in the philippines but just what do you have to do get it ? are there appointmnets that have to be made in advance or is it as easy as getting a different stamp on your passport and paying a fee ? . Anyone who can give me some advice on this ? .

A UK passport holder travelling alone can avail of 21 day stay in Philippines without any visa.
A 59 day visa can be obtained prior to travel from the Philippine Embassy in London.
Alternatively, a 38 day extension to stay can be obtained upon arrival at Manila Airport (cost about P3030) prior to passing through immigration. This makes 59 days when added to the visa free 21 day period.
