Unmanned spy drones could patrol Britain’s shores looking for illegal immigrants and smugglers after a series of high-level meetings in Brussels, The Mail on Sunday has learned.

Hmm, I don't see how a drone with a camera is going to be able to tell which boat out of several hundred is carrying drugs or illegal immigrants.

You'd be surprised. I saw a prog about the Canberra jet - in 2004 the yanks gave us some very hi res digital imaging gear and we get better results than they did on the U2. They showed some close ups of House of Commons taken from 40 miles away. These drones are sucessfully monitoring then destroying scum going around in pick ups in Afghanistan & Pakistan

Oh sorry, I'd assumed they were being put in place to track the illegals, so as to ensure that none missed out on their human rights and other entitlements, and of course to give a bit of notice so the red carpet can be readied, council housing arranged etc. :)

why look out to sea for illegals there already here i think that ship sailed long time ago with all the camaras in the uk already you would think they could catch them only to let them go because they dont have the space to lock them up waist of money :censored:
