do you have an idea how much a surveyor fee to inspect/estimate the value of a flat?

Probably also a good idea to google search that kind of thing. :)

Just make sure that if you do employ someone, that they actually do a proper job for their (high) fee. (accompany them).

You can either have a 'valuation' survey...fairly basic, or a proper Chartered Surveyor's survey with full written detailed report.

Much dearer, but you get what you pay for ...in theory.

For a flat, probably the valuation report will suffice.
