My wife came here in October 2007 on a 6 month fiancee visa from Philippines. We got married and she got her 5 year resident card - as spouse of an EEA national - in March 2008.
Can she apply for her permanent residence in October or does she have to wait until next march.
When does the qualifying period begin ?:)

The residential qualifying period is calculated from the day when we receive your application. Most unsuccessful applications fail because the applicant was not present in the UK at the beginning of the residential qualifying period. You must make sure you meet this requirement before you make your application. For example, if we receive your application on 25 March 2010, you must show that you were in the UK on 26 March 2005.
also might be a good idea to use your local councils nationality checking service to check your app is valid and not waste your money
