Hi everyone:)
Most of my details are in my profile, ok, but I'll expand a bit here. I have quite a few good pinoy friends, most of whom I met while working in the NHS in Aylesbury. Nearly all of them are Ilonggo, and I was lucky enough to be invited to stay with my very best friends (hi Rechelle! hi jun jun!!) for 6 weeks in Tabucan, Iloilo City, for 6 weeks - including Dinagyang 2011:xxgrinning--00xx3:. I recently went back for 4 days (don't ask:rolleyes:) and can't wait to go again. I am ninong to R & jj's 3 young boys & I love them to bits.
I really like Filipino food (except balut:Erm:) and my favourites include green mango with shrimp paste, adobo, jack fruit, batchoy, fresh coconut milk, brasos de Mercedes, mango and (of course) Thai jasmine rice! Oh, not forgetting Tanduay & San Miguel...
Being 61 I now struggle to learn foreign languages, but I know quite a few words in Tagalog and Hiligaynon.
I hope to be an active member here and look forward to getting to know you guys.
