Looks like certain groups are getting back to their old selves again. :NoNo:
WHY don't these people just stop these stupid parades, grow up and join the rest of the civilised world ?
It's HISTORY ! GET OVER IT !
As for the religious nonsense...no wonder (and thank goodness) I'm an Atheist.
One place I definitely won't be going to visit ....EVER.

You are not missing much other than extortionately overpriced hotels and restaraunts . The only reasonably priced place we could find to eat was weatherspoons which is just one step up from the fish and chip shop. I like Indian and Chinese food but the ones in belfast set their prices high enough to ensure they dont get too many customers , they must like it that way , nice and quiet so they wont have to serve anyone . The extortion racket starts with the car ferrys which seem to set their prices as a cartel which I thought was not legal . The cost of sailing accross the Irish sea is approximately 10 times the price of sailing to France over roughly the same distance , its no wonder the Irish ferrys run mostly empty . Why would anyone visit Ireland on holiday when you can get to France for a fraction of the price.

My mother is Irish (Southern), and my first memories are of a lovely holiday spent on the family farm there.
Her family are Irish Presbyterian, but she always pointed out that in the friendly communities there, Protestants and Catholics get along fine. :)
It seems to be the 'Loyalists' stirring things up in Belfast. Such a shame they can't put it all behind them. Parading around in a provocative way is never going to help anything. It should just be banned altogether IMO....and all that thuggish graffiti removed.

My ex is in Donegal , shes catholic and she has brothers and father who are protestant but never seen anything said or done against either side , its seems to be not an issue once you get outside Belfast / Londonderry etc .
