applying for work while waiting for ILR result

Now that my son start big school i can get a job at least a part time job while he is at school. But then I am aware the they would ask passport showing that you can legally work in UK. has anyone here experienced applying for a job while waiting for ILR result? I found few possible opportunity for me but i still haven't got my ILR result so its holding me back to apply. I wonder if i can use the confirmation letter instead?

you are fine and etremely ok to apply :) i have done the same:D the only different between us now is having result and the the job lols;)
