Hi.

I'll be driving on my next trip to the promised land. Having never paid attention to this before, are there decent road maps available showing at least the major routes? What about maps for a sat nav device such as TomTom?

I'm pretty competent driving in most parts of the world, and I know I'll find my way OK but the above may come in useful...

Thanks.

There are one or two decent (road) maps of the Philippines available from branches of the National Bookstore there.

Not sure about satnav ones...perhaps google for it.

Do you have google satellite add-on on your PC ?

You can print maps off that for the areas you're likely to visit. Good pics of the Phils road system are definitely on that. :)

Thanks - I have an Android phone with sat nav. Just worried about data use, need to look up nav apps.

Just want to share with you our experience during our holiday this was also our dilemma before we had our trip since we our using our car over the holiday..At first we used the road maps and i can say that it help us though sometimes it brought us some confusions but when we used the sat nav on my husband's phone (Samsung galaxy s3) instead that's the time that we finally felt at ease on where we were going to...we just used the maps application to the phone and type the post code and that's it it will gave you how far and long the travel is which is really convenient when you are travelling using car :))))

For Your Info Tom Tom has just added the Phillipines to their maps. In my opinion they are the best sat navs, but how good these maps are, will only be discovered with use. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Thanks for the hints. I ended up using my Galaxy S3/GPS too. Saves data roaming. Only got lost once missing the exit from the Skyway to the SLEX.
