Hi this is maricris. I arrived here in the UK on 28th of june 2012 on a spouse visa. Am I entitled to NHS treatment as I think I have ingrowing toe nail or do I have to pay privately?

Many thanks
Maricris

Yes, Maricris ... your marriage to John, a British national, automatically entitles you to free [at source] NHS treatment. All you need do, is simply present your passport - as proof of your status - to the reception desk at your husband's GP surgery in order to register there as a patient. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

It really IS that easy. :)

Yes. My wife has been able to make use of the NHS on several occasions and free of charge. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Ingrowing toenail. Painful. I had one about 10 years ago. :omg:

I agree best to get it seen to quick while you still have the NHS.:xxgrinning--00xx3:.
A lot of the services are being put out to private tender.

Arthur is right:xxgrinning--00xx3:... You have to register first to the surgery, then you are entitled to all NHS service. But not the medication although it is not a big amount. If you are exempted then you don't have to pay.
