Hello guys just happy with all the developments in my life since i arrived here...met some of my hubby's friend from work,been to pub twice :icon_lol:,registered to a gp and just waiting for my national insurance number and today will make a cv and cover letter for a possible employment:cheeky-smiley-024: not bad coz i've just been here in UK Sept 26....

been to library and im a member already and can borrow books :Yippeee: just my probs is opening a bank account coz they wont let me open one coz i need my proof of address which obviously i dont have coz i've been here 9 days :Erm: and they wont accept it either to have a joint account with hubby.....but anyway submitted my cv and just waiting for my interview and been to pub again last night and watched hubby and friends played pool while i drink the free beer :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

That's also I did Leen, going to Library, borrowed books. I think the bank account to open can be quite a while to wait, and some proofs of address they require on it. Its hard to get through sometimes for some offices to get my name on it. What keeps me going out is that there are free community classes, I got to attend some crafts lessons, Food hygiene,etc.Where you can also meet some friends.That's great that you have settled in just so fine.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Hi,
go to HSBC and they have a passport account,you can get one of those by providing your old Phils address...or my wife got one at Nationwide by having a NI LETTER and by me giving a covering letter.might be of help.
