Hello Jessie, welcome here to the forum

Concerning your question here's what UKBA state
All supporting documents must be originals, not copies.

My advice is to comply with those requirements as far as you can in order to minimise any risks of refusal

If you have any problems to meet that then consider using properly certified copies or true copies of some documents ordered via your local registry office.

Don't send your passport, just use a certified copy

Try to spare some time to review this guide on How To Apply for A Fiance(e) Visa

Please don't think I'm trying to put you off, but with the fiance(e) visa do give extra focus to providing evidence of your genuine relationship and especially of your intentions to get married here in UK

As much as possible send original copies. You cannot send it through emails. You have to submit all your documents in person. I remember I just scanned some of the documents we submitted when we applied for Fiancee Visa like my husband's passport and its stamped pages,(it was not authenticated by any solicitor) his Land registry and Birth Certificate. The original copies we submitted are payslips, mortgage statements, bank statements, TV Licensing, Council Tax, Phone Bills, Gas & Electric bills, Water bills, Certificate of Employment, My Birth certificate and my school credentials.
Let me share with you the complete lists of what I have submitted when I applied for Fiancee Visa (Marriage Visa)
