I've been keeping my eye to this all day.
Very exciting.

There's been a huge amount of planning, but still very many unknowns, especially when he himself breaks the sound barrier.

He breaks the sound barrier in relation to where we are on the planet but not if you compare it to the amount of mass he's passing through .... kinda cheating if you ask me .... I reckon he should try wing walking on Concorde :biggrin:

Just watched it, was pretty impressive. I was at the penultimate shuttle launch in Titusville last year, and reminded me how impressive and in some ways crude space travel is.

Instead, Mr. Eustace planned his jump in secrecy, working for almost three years with a small group of technologists skilled in spacesuit design, life-support systems, and parachute and balloon technology.

He carried modest GoPro cameras aloft, connected to his ground-control center by an off-the-shelf radio.
