well it looks like the EU has caught up with the WI and other garden fates and other groups,its breaking the law they saw by using old jam jars and other used glass containers to put the pickle and other home made jams in, up to £5000 fines they say, it will be intresting to see these people asking is it a new jar or how many times has it been used, they even may say the jars have to havea sell by date on the jars :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

That doesn't seem very environmentally friendly.

That doesn't seem very environmentally friendly.
well anything to do with the EU is silly it seems, remember the too bent cucumbers and bananas,and something about tinned cornbeef, cornish pasties too what else is there

Its all to do with the balance of risk against cost. Sometimes this is forgotten, unfortunately.
