I watched it just before I went off shopping.
Must admit I did have some palpitations after that very shaky start, and even up to halfway.
But it made for an interesting race and wow what an ending for Frankel.:Jump:

He did well considering the soft going. He's a big ole boy with plenty of bulk and needs to call on extra power to lift himself in the ground.

I just wonder if we ever see him race again.

I didn't place a bet though. Just not worth it :NoNo:

Hi Peter it was a wonderfull race from frankel especially with the soft ground against him & all the best 1 milers in the world to contend with...it certainly was a slow & shaky start very unlike him but what a finish it's now 14 wins from 14 wins he is now classed as the best horse of all time..... Oh & he is now officially retired at only 4 yrs old nothing else to prove but could have something to do with being worth £100 000 for each mare he mounts all in all he is priceless..... Well done frankel enjoy your retirement as the best horse there has ever been :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Fantastic horse. I hope enjoys his retirement. I suppose when you are valued at £100 million it's difficult to keep racing as there are risks involved.

The best horse I've ever seen since I started following the nags back in 1986. Now matter what the 'oldies' say about Shergar, The Minstrel, etc, Frankel would have beaten them all. The difference between him and all the other highly rated winners is that Frankel won Groups races again and again, one after the other beating over 20 Gp 1 winners in all those races.

He's rated between £100,000 - £150,000 a :Sex:, but Khalid Abudullah will be using most of his own stock for breeding, and the yearlings would sell for more than that!!! :yikes:

I'm made up for Sir Henry, as his cancer has returned with a vengeance in the last few months, he's been battling it for a few years now, and like Frankel, he keeps winning :xxgrinning--00xx3:

This is Frankel's best race, and the best Guineas I've ever seen, although Zafonic's was bloody brilliant as well :smile:

Did anyone notice the comparison between Betfair and the bookmakers? :yikes:

Betfair SP: 1.29
Bookmaker SP: 0.18 :cwm24::cwm24::cwm24: .... what a rip-off!!! :NoNo:

Not only that, Betfair paid 0.18 for a PLACE!!! :anerikke:

Just shows you the bonuses you get using Betfair.
