Filipina ‘raped’ by cop out of hospital

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: The Filipina who was allegedly raped and stabbed several times on the neck and back on Oct 1 by a lance corporal at the Kuwait General Traffic Department was discharged on Thursday from the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital after being confined there for 10 days. Marissa, 27, a native of T’Boli, South Cotabato in Southern Philippines was taken to the Filipino Workers Resource Centre at the Philippine Overseas Labour Office (POLO) in Faiha where she will stay temporarily.

I also hope that any Filipinas contemplating working in these medieval countries full of uncivilised animals will read these reports and decide to work somewhere decent, where they (Filipinas) are not regarded as chattels or slaves.

The only reason Kuwait has any standing in this world is because they produce oil.
They are not fit to lick the boots of Filipinos.

I know the Government of the Philippines has supposedly re-negotiated the OFW labour treaties or whatever with countries like Kuwait, but IMO this is not good enough. They should simply prevent workers being sent to such scum nations...regardless of the loss of remittances.
