Hello.I am Marie. I got problem. I apply b4 for visa in Netherland for tourist but i Am denied last March. Now,my boyfriend wants me to sponsor visiting him in UK for holiday. We are worried that my visa refusal before can be a reason for my refusal of visa in UK of the ECO.
Can I apply now in UK even only few months has pass after I apply for Netherland?Please I need an advice as having a denied visa is painful :( How many days will it for da application process? Is 3 weeks before my flight OK? because he needs to wait some more documents requires. Thank you. Im so worried. I hope for advise.

what reason(s) were given for your visa refusal to Holland?, visit visa's are always risky, each application should be treated on its on merits, but being refused a visit visa recently might increase your chances of refusal, but the cost of the visa is low compared to other types of visa's, so its worth the risk.
make sure your sponsor has enough money to fund your trip and you can show you have good reasons to return to the phils b4 your visa expires.

:( :( :( Im very sad to hear it may affect my UK Application. They say that I am single, young and came from a country with high risk of not coming back. I wasnt able to produce a bank statemnt. My job is finishing on January 2013. Another thing is I am just visiting my cousin as she invited me there for holiday. She sent me sponosrship but they dont believe I will comeback. :(
The ECO might use these also for reason of not allowing me to have a tourist visa? Becuse now I have my bank account,new job and myy boyfriend will sponsor me? :cwm3: I relly just want to see him and becaise of the Holland visa refusal they might question me? I really regret it.
What can I say to convince the ECO why I am denied a visa before?
PLease help me

Does everyone here have the same experience that their UK tourist visa was denied because of the grounds that anoter visa for other country was denied few months ago.??
The cost of money is not my worries, but Its the pain that visa rejection might bring with me and my Scottish boyfriend that worried me to apply now :(
PLEASE :Help1::Help1::Help1::Help1:

In my own opinion, better to leave and lie low first on visa application as you have denied recetly. What I can suggest is for you to concentrate on gathering documents that is needed on your upcoming visa application as well as finding a VERY valid reason for you to use and prove to the ECO that you will definitely coming back to the Philippines on or before your visa expires. When it comes to the requirements, you dont have to worry at all as there are loads of threads about visit visa applications and etc in the forum.
Like Sir Joebloggs said, visit visa can be very tricky but cheaper than other visas. worth a try though. Goodluck! :smile:

Thank you everyone for the kindest reply.
We are planning to file my application for tourist visa by end of Jan. And to be honest as time passed by and with the research I am doin Im starting to lose hope to visit him :( because of my schengen refusal (which I will forever regret why I applied)
Now, I am trying my faith;
* I want to ask if I need to submit aswell the refusal letter I got on schengen application together with my Uk Tourist visa application?
* Its been six months already since I got my Schengen visa refusal, is it enough time already that pass so i can apply for another visa which is in UK?
* I will have my annual vacation leave but half are paid and half are unpaid. Should i mention it also?
I hope for your help as my situation depressed me so much. :Help1::Help1::Help1:

There is a part on the form that asks if you have been refused for a visa before you can put there the infos like the date, what country and if the refusal letter got number/code then provide also.
As far as I know you can apply for a tourist visa right away even if you got refused couple of weeks/months ago so I think youll be alright. (I stand to be corrected)

My wife got refused a visa to visit her sister in norway before we met. I should imagine its not a nice feeling but if your boyfriend can show he can support you and accomadate you there should not be a problem.
