I'm still convinced they are doing it the wrong way around, and its all just to gain popularity.
Take away the reason for those people to visit the UK, and you prevent the undesirable immigration. The policies of the Welfare system are where the problem lies, not the borders.

Another major cause of illegal immigration is the huge number of rogue employers giving work to these maggots.

Employing illegals should carry a mandatory 5 year prison sentence.

It should be financial and hit them hard. Not UPTO £10,000 per illegal. Make it £20,000 all the time.
