My wife & I visited the settlement checking service yesterday to submit her application for ILR....happy to say everything was thoroughly checked photo copies taken & happy to say all was approved then it was sent special next day delivery.... So IMO opinion well worth the cost of £80.... So now the long wait wish us luck everyone :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Well done Stevie did you block out the bank details so any criminal UKBA employees don't get to see them ?

Well done Steve and good luck.
That checking service is good.
As mentioned before, statistics indicate the UKBA processing is often faster with checking service submissions.

At least this crooked Nigerian officer is in jail
Many immigrants who were fraudulently issued with visas by a rogue UK Border Agency official remain at large almost four years later, Basildon crown court heard on Friday. Nigerian Samuel Shoyeju was jailed for seven years for falsely granting indefinite leave to remain to 44 non-EU residents who were not entitled to stay in the country. Only 14 of the false letters he issued have been recovered, meaning most recipients have not been identified.Judge Christopher Mitchell said the case threatened to undermine the hard-won reputation for "probity and honesty" of British civil servants. He added: "Actions like yours call into question in the public mind the entire integrity of the immigration system when, at the present time, immigration and immigration decisions are extremely sensitive."

It just shows what half baked employment policies and checks the UKBA have in place employing trash like that. The whole organisation is a farce

Doesn't surprise me in the least.
British Civil Servants should be British-born and thoroughly back-ground checked...end of.
It's not as if we're short of applicants.
