I was once bored whilst waiting for my students to finish their classroom task. So I wrote this silly poem. Please do not tell the school principal!

Cynthia, how do you dress?
What type of beauty do you possess?
You are so LOVED by HIM
Though you are still unseen

Cynthia, Cynthia, how do you talk?
Give me an idea how you walk.
HE adores you in EVERY WAY
HIS mouth SPEAKS your NAME night and day.

“I would love to dance with Cynthia,” he said
“You have to bring Cynthia here”, he added
Do you expect I would do that, Cynthia?
To me, your name is a great DISTURBIA

Cynthia, HE rejoices at the mere sight of your place
Cynthia, do you think I can still walk with grace?
HE is with me BUT he longs your touch and KISS
HE remembers you every moment with BLISS

Cynthia, how could I erase you in HIS mind?
HE’S addicted to you, like his daily wine
HE feels your presence each time the wind blows,
HIS longing for you is a river that flows!

Cynthia, I am so jealous of you
I could not tell him to bid you adieu
To you, this poem I wrote
I BEG YOU TO LEAVE HIS THOUGHTS!

***Cynthia's mystery is yet to unveil -***

And they still didn't let you bypass the English Language Test! Amazing.

I wished poem writing was included in IELTS writing task -- so wrong grammar would be excused (poetic license:biggrin:)

Thanks Andy. Who is Alice lastlid? Is she the one who was lost in Wonderland?
probably the ex:biggrin:
Cynthia is based on a true identity of whom we both haven't seen. :NoNo:

I really like POETS day here in the UK.

What date is it lastlid? I hope my husband isn't aware of its existence. Hahaha!
He used to go to Shakespeare and Company in Paris to read his poems every first Monday of the month. But, he can't do it now, Thanks to the slow FLR(M) process. He's on house arrest.

Both my ex wife and daughter were into poetry and english literature. I have to say that I was the odd one out, until our son came along then he balanced things up a bit.
