Samsung says it has sold more than 30 million flagship Galaxy S III smartphones in about five months, making it one of the fastest selling smartphones in the world.

Samsung Electronics Co. launched the smartphone at the end of May, months before competitors began shipping the latest versions of their top phones.

The runaway demand for high-end smartphones fueled record profits at Samsung in recent quarters while other consumer electronics firms were hit by the global economic downturn.

Samsung, which also makes TVs, home appliances, semiconductors and display panels, got almost 70 percent of its third-quarter operating profit from the division that makes mobile devices, cameras and computers.

My wife has always had an iphone and she's been happy with them.

Right now she seems to be leaning towards this Galaxy SIII instead of the iphone5

It's upgrade time on her current contract at the end of this month and would really appreciate your experience with this Samsung phone sars, if you don't mind.

Sometime it's quite a big step to leave a brand you've had for so long unless there is good reason.

Hope you can find some time to share your experience and feelings :xxgrinning--00xx3:

This is the most extravagant purchase I have made (well my husband has made on my behalf with our money) for a piece of electrical equipment and after all it is only a cell phone but this is really the ultimate all in one device i have ever used even compared to tablets as it is more portable and netbooks as it is more powerful than my msi wind and my daughters acer one put together i guess.
I have found it very easy to use and the camera functions and quality are any filipina's erotic dream ( you know we love our
photo's lol). I'm also in a fortunate position to have an 11 year old daughter so if i can't find anything she is always at hand to show me,
and if all else fails i can ask my husband who knows everything (so he thinks).
Anyway I love this phone and I know people that are not upgrading their Iphones but going the samsung route and besides if Kieth has got one and is happy with it that must really say a lot about it .

Buy her it, It will make her very happy and that means she will make you happy.

p.s.
we also plan to purchase our techie daughter a samsung galaxy SIII mini which has been launched on the market first week of november 2012.

If you want a phone that does it all then you can only gets the Galaxy S3, as with the Iphone you have 'locked in syndrome'. With Android you can install and use what services you like.

The quad core S3 runs Google Earth smoother than on my dual core laptop :cwm24:

Don't read ANY US based reviews as they are 100% biased towards Apple :doh ... like US judges

One major thing Apple fail to point out us that it does NOT support full HD due to not having enough pixels for the 720 height, so it has to use video compression, the S3 has full HD.
