just watched the tv program from last night that felix bloke, AMAZING, i can honestly say that was just like watching the space shuttle landings, a very brave man and for the colonel chap who jumped over 50 years before, well hes just as amazing too,

I watched that programme and I'm in two minds about it. On one hand, it's an amazing achievement and a credit to all those involved. But on the other hand, was it just an over-hyped marketing exercise by Red Bull?
I'm willing to give Red Bull the benefit of the doubt though. They have invested the money in the project, so deserve the exposure.
However, I did find the documentary a bit contrived in places and Baumgartner isn't a particularly likeable fellow. I didn't understand the whole "walking out" thing. Surely they should have just found someone else?
It was better than most of the other weekend rubbish on TV though!
Now I'm going to watch Dara O' Briain's Science Club.... :biggrin:

it was the pictures that amazed me, seeing the world from so high, not many people have ever experianced that, and the pictures from 50 years ago, some very brave men we dont even know off
