Near the port I meet Anwar, an unkempt, sallow Syrian man in his 30s who tells me he fled in terror from his home town near Damascus after his younger brother was tortured by supporters of President Assad's regime.

Isn't there a lesson from France here ? - if we made the UK very unwelcoming, stopped rolling out the red carpet beside the gravy train these people would not travel all the way across Europe to get to the UK

Personally ... it's the terrorists from the Middle East, I'd be more inclined to worry about - rather than the "herds" of miscellaneous, so-called, "assylum seekers". :anerikke:

trouble is Arthur its the criminals from the east who come here, i dont think anything will happen, the only thing that may stop this is a revolution but this is england so that would not happen, the white man would all be arrested for causing trouble

if you are happy here and many are then just live life the best way you can, i am happy being here for now, but i have a future plan, so i get on with life here knowing that what ever happens will happen whether i say yes or no, like many i do get fed up with how this country seems to be getting worst for the people that are born here, and i know i cannot change that at all, so do what others do, emigrate but knowing i dont expect the country i am going to to support me and my family as soon as i walk into that place, each to there own and no offence meant.
