lens for my nikon

looking at treating myself,its my birthday and xmas soon so a new lens is in my thoughts, its a nikon 35mm f1.8g, anyone has one or knows about it, i have read so much about it and on the compare sites it comes out with some very good reviews, £160 and you get a £20 voucher off in the box, so i think its a bargin, plus Ems likes to take the pictures too so its something we both can and do share together, i just wish i could get a good printer, the one i have a epson, which is very good but the ink either dries up because lack of use, or cheap ink in which i buy

My wife has a Sony DSLR that I bought for her last year. But I only recently bought her a zoom lense. She has hardly used the new lense yet but surely will soon.
