Premier Foods sounds a bit of a sloppy rudderless business - they've sold off and shut down quite a few operations in recent years. These are some classic brands they've flogged off

Branston pickle, Sarson’s vinegar, Hartley jellies and Roberston’s jam, SunPat peanut butter

I'd like to hope that a good proportion of the 900 are Eastern Europeans (good chance of it in Greenford) and it might just make them ship off back home

Your quite right. I am sure a lot of them are hanging on for the Christmas trade and it will be bad news again in the new year.

Electrical Appliance Retailing has been a minefield for years look at the outfits that have fallen by the wayside Rumbelows, Powerhouse, Best Buy untold independents.

You'd have thought the likes of Comet would have slimmed down as the recession bit but oh no they have to be in every new retail park that springs up on land formerly used for manufacturing

No way Ded they will all have homes and we will end up keeping them. The welfare state cops it again. And there is only one loser. The tax payer. Lets face it would you go back to their country where there is no welfare system?
