if you want your spouse to get to uk right away, tourist visa is the best then she could apply later for settlement visa when she comes back to philippines. if you could wait, settlement visa processing would take 3-6 moths :)

Why not apply a SPOUSE VISA instead of Tourist right away? That cut down costs on the visa app fee for the visit visa.
Have a look on this thread me love from Terpe.

There is no timeframe for visas as you know, it can be quick, it can be an agony of waiting but have a little look on this thread started by sars.

As your married now you should be thinking about a spousal visa. A couple of Links have already been posted, read them and see if you can satisfy the requirements.
My tips for a successful application is to have a good read of the forum there are plenty of people who have been in your situation and have had successful applications.
Good luck :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Not worth going for a tourist visa as it would have greater chances of being refused, ECO would just tell her she applied for the wrong visa. Settlement visas have better chances of being approved compared to visit visas (which is usually a lottery), as long as you can supply all the documents needed and the financial requirements.
