Just following on from the locked smoking thread I wanted to say that we are never going to agree on here about everything and we sometimes cross the mark but it;s one of the great things about this forum and i love a lively discussion!
Me and Dedworth will never agree about football but we totally agree about politics,so we can argue have a bit of crack on footie but agree on other subjects.
We can discuss politics which is one of the most evocative subjects ever to discuss-I'm tory through and through Andy 222 certainly isen't- whos right and who's wrong well I'm clearly right and Andy is clearly wrong:laugher:
seriously though I've thrown my rattle in before but learned a bit on here and can often see the other side of the argument better than I used to,If someone winds me up on here I'm gonna let em have it back plus some, but there is no real nastiness and who at the end of the day is right?
we all think we are and long may it continue:biggrin:

Sorry Les, but I'm going to have to disagree with you there...simply because you're from Harrogate, and obviously POSH.

I agree Les. But there seems to be a thing on here where the more green blobs some people have the more some think theirs is the only opinion. And if they have Moderator splashed above them then infinitely more so.

Being open and honest, I have benefited a lot from the forum but some opinion on here is a little beyond palatability. At times I have had opinion rammed right down my throat and seen it done to other people. It is often the established folk, not all, that do that.

There is a world outside of the forum and core forum opinion isn't necessarily reflected on the outside world.

I do think it would be a better forum if the above was recognised.

I think its a shame that we lost CBM. We lost him because he didnt share the same opinion as a range of personalities on here.

London Manila, I always felt was good to have on board but he, undeservedly so, was given a lot of needless grief when he first joined. And many others that have been a gone.

The wider the opinion the richer the forum. But it will never get any richer if others that dont share core opinion are chased away.

i dont vote and i would not know most of them anyway, half the stuff that is on the site i dont bother with, my brain cant handle to much pressure, i am sorry for many and i laugh with loads, sometimes its to much bother to reply and lets be honest there are folk who do try to ram down your throat there ideas, and will always have the last say, it takes time to become a member on any site, i remember some ex members and members who have said this and that and has been very harsh concerning our women and life out in the phils, yes each to there own but lets all be grown ups
