Sorry Tish, I can't catch it :Erm:

Is your daughter getting below the National Minimum Wage?

In reality she really should be paid the minimum (for her circumstances) or she can be paid anything at all above that minimum.

Can you clarify what you need correction on?

If shes under 18 she'll be paid less than the minimum wage.

Hi Terpe

No need for correction now as daughter is getting nearly 7 pounds per hour :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Apparently, everyone joining Tesco will get the same rate as everybody else :xxgrinning--00xx3:

She's only contracted for 11 hours per week though but that's fine as daughter's at college :xxgrinning--00xx3:

No, she'll be paid the nat min wage for her age and circumstances.
As I see it she should be paid £3.68 or above which is the legal minimum wage at that age.

Or have I misunderstood something (which is quite possible) :olddude:

The National Minimum Wage is just what it says.
It legally the Minimum wage that can be paid.
The actual wage can be anything from the minimum upwards to whatever.

Period.

I do believe M&S have the same starting rate whatever your age aswell. But they seem against employing young people! I've been in my store over 10 years and I'm still one of the youngest!

Tesco were employing so called "students" in breach of their visa conditions - they probably poached them from the local petrol station
