Help! Documents needed for the entire immigration process

Hi everyone!

I'm currently working on my fiancé visa and Further leave to Remain (M) documents for my intended transfer to Wales so I could be with my future husband :) We will be living in the lovely hillsides of Wales which means we are far from civilisation and extremely far from The Philippine embassy and their respective sub-branches in the UK. This is the main reason why I am doing a proactive approach while I am still in Manila. Going to and from the British Embassy to request for documents would be too costly and doing it by post would take too much time.

I have done my fair share of research with regard to different documents and procedures but I was wondering if I need any other documents for "after issuance" of my FLR. Are there any documents I need to provide for even small things like getting a Tesco Clubcard or applying for a debit card and opening my own bank account?

I want to work as soon as I can so my fiancé and I can start putting down a downpayment on a mortgage.
I also wish to work in the finance / banking industry. What documents would my future employer require?

If i'm not being cheeky enough, if someone could post a full list of all the documents and other requirements that I would be needing for my entire journey (fiancé visa to naturalisation) then that would be fantastic!

Hi, welcome here. Where in Wales would you live?

Anyway, most of the documents you would need when you'll apply FLR(M), ILR and citizenship would be acquired when you're already here. No things coming from the Philippines other than passport, birth certificate, english test results/certificate, probably some IDs and cenomar (although you can bring your diplomas or certifications if you want). Most proof of address should be here in the UK and you and your fiance can settle it right away when you come here, like tv license, electric bills, water bills, etc. Register to a NHS GP at your preferred surgery too (http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/1095.aspx?CategoryID=68&SubCategoryID=158). You can work only after you get the FLR(M). Employers would need your passport and BRP card showing you can work and your CV. Also, you need to get a NI as it would be needed for work (http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ni/intro/number.htm).

If you have any land titles or any land/house properties, I would advise you to have the original docs with you, not because it would be needed in the application but because you would have the assurance of having it just in case there would be problems in the future. I also advise you to have at least a bank account in the Philippines as you would never know what would happen in the future and you might need the money.

You may want to consider getting married in the Philippines and applying as a
Spouse.
This means you would be entitled to work as soon as you arrive.

Arriving into UK as Fiance(e) requires that you apply and get granted FLR(M) before you can work.
It's currently taking a long time (up to 8 months) to wait for an FLR(M) approval decision. That could mean a difficult and lonely time for you.
Just worth that extra consideration.
