The writing was on the wall for Comet when the US's biggest electrical retailer Best Buy came here and lasted less than 2 years 2009 - Jan 2012 opened 11 out of a planned 200 stores and its 2011 losses equated to £10 million per store. No wonder they hot footed it back over the atlantic

It has been reported that the owners will walk away with £50 million and leave the taxpayer to pick up the pieces. No surprise in that is there? Fat cats win again.
