Birmingham Crown Court heard the gang whose ages ranged from 19-36, travelled from their homes in the Handsworth and Smethwick areas of Birmingham to carry out nocturnal raids on rural stretches of the railway line between Evesham, Worcestershire, and Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.

Criminal filth

Dean it might be worth changing Romanian to Eastern European then anyone wearing rose tinted glasses won't feel that you are being offensive to people from that particular country

Good spot thanks for bringing it to our attention :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I'd change it to just 'Metal theft gang jailed' to be safe

Oh... and lose the word Jail.... we don't want jailed folk to appear as criminals :cwm3:

...and drop the word 'gang' as it has racist connections in the English language....

... so just 'Metal Theft' it is then

I strongly suspect they are members of the medical and legal professions who had fallen on hard times - there's just not the money in begging and shoplifting anymore

Dont use Theft, use misappropriation because its less threatening and looks prettier with all of the typed P's,the title should simple be Metal(ferrous or non-ferrous)so as not to cause offence :sorry-2:

On the contrary, the article just reports the facts and is in no way offensive. What worries me is the number of people on this forum unable to tell the difference.

It does worry me though that there seems to be so much interest in discrediting one particular nationality. This is a Filipino uk forum is it not? Looking on people might think it was focused on another country.

It strengthens the focus on the expense, trials and tribulations of securing legal visa immigration and the easy time illegals and other pondlife have.

That we have no proof of them being facts

It is not :xxgrinning--00xx3:

It is a British forum that helps British people in relationships with folk from the Philippines, and helps those people do everything legally. However we do help anyone from any country as we have done for years, we also like to point out those breaking the laws and because of that put those doing immigration the legal way through hell, large hoops and high costs.

1) perhaps what i should have said is the reporter doesnt offer his personal opinion but endevours to report what he has seen or heard.

2) At the top of my page as i type on this forum it says in big yellow letters "Filipino UK", hence my assumption it was filipino uk forum.
