I thought she would get a biometric residence permit too but now understand that's only after her first 33 months. Thank you.

She can get a TB test as she might be asked to provide one upon entry in the UK. I wasn't asked for a TB test when I came here last year, but others were asked. Depends on which airport she'll arrive too though. But just to be sure, ask her to get one. No harm done anyway.
