Just came back through Mactan International Airport which I much prefer to NAIA for both arrivals and departures.
Arrived early and cleared check in and security within 5 minutes so decided to have a beer. P200 for a can of SMB!!! I said thanks but no thanks and went to another outlet where the girl informed me it was also P200 (who would have thought?) and admitted it was 'airport price'. I waited till I got on the plane.
Now I baulked at the hotel's minibar being P136 for a SMB so nipped into Rustans and bought some replacements for just P30.
I was paying about P19 in sawang and I think the most I've ever paid was P70 in a restaurant. Kuripot I may be (blame the wife) but what's the most you have paid/heard of?

Once your inside Mactan I think they realise you have pesos left before flying out and hike the price to reflect that,I dont drink so dont know the prices but your right, much better arrival/departure international airport.

Im sure there are some members that have paid more than 200. Might have been a ladies drink though

I never spend a cent in any rip-off airport. One reason I always have a pack up with me when travelling.
...Nor on LDs.

P300 was the most I paid for beer.
That was at Somethin' Fishy in Eastwood City Walk.
Mind you I got a bucket with 6 bottles and a dozen oysters.
Not all of those oysters worked though

Most I ever paid for an SMB was 4.50 Pounds from a Filipino at Milton Keynes Filipino Barangay fiesta..
I was thirsty at the time and it seemed worth it...
At the time!
Thinking back now,I was a complete dipstick.

I am glad I don't drink alcohol! Although I can buy 12 bottles of water for £2 in the supermarket next door to the cinema I go to. Inside the cinema it's £2.60 for one bottle of the same water!

Wouldn't know. :icon_lol:
I have to be honest though, I will pay the price for a coffee (100pesos earlier this year) for the privilege of sitting upstairs in the almost empty restaurant at NAIA, where not only have you got a fantastic view over the main runway, but can also smoke.
