My son (and his Finnish girlfriend) came over from Sweden yesterday, to stay with me for a week. :Jump:
He's been living with his Filipina mum there, while attending college.

It's the longest that we've ever been apart (4 months), and the house has seemed so empty, what with my stepdaughter being in New York and my stepson in Carlisle. :cwm3:

I've been taking them out and about in the car, showing his lady our beautiful city and cooking up some of my tasty curries for them.

I really like 'looking after' people. Perhaps I should have been a hotelier.

Leave it til May onwards mate. The place is as miserable as any other town in this country, this time of year. Lovely when all the trees and flowers are out.

I enjoy that prog too, and yes, quite fancy her myself.

The other one that I really enjoy is the one where the B&B owners stay at each other's places. Now that can get vicious. :icon_lol:

Thats a good programme too - you get to see a few nice places but a lot are awful and run by oddballs.

The garish , tacky place that had me gagging was

Aphrodites Boutique Hotel & Spa - some B & B at £220/night.

Run by a couple of sleazy Northerners who fancy themselves something rotten (she's mutton dressed as lamb). If the room rate was a bit higher you'd have the likes of the Rooneys & Ferdinands staying there.

Loads of new govt. grant schemes starting in January....available to all. I'll be training up on them next week, so will get back to you.

Otherwise, get yerself down to B&Q or similar and ask their experts about stuff like 'Kingspan' (insulation board), telling them what you intend to use it for.

Don't forget, it's only the inside of the external walls that need doing (not the one between you and next door).

Hahaha, well, we had similar issues.
I used to bang on the walls over and over.
Then I bit the bullet, knocked on his door and told him.
He told me to :censored: off :yikes:

So I continued to bang the wall, play loud music and laughter and applause.

Didn't seem to make much difference but at least we felt better.
Why oh why do they want to be so very very noisy?

Oh Oh OH OHH :Cuckoo:

We've now moved :Jump:
