What are you looking to pay Steve?

From what I've seen it's best to book several months in advance.

I think it's a bit more around xmas, when are you thinking of going?

stevewool
1st January 2013, 16:27
well i would this june time if i could but xmas is better with work closing down so i can have longer, but Ems wants to go next march 2014 its hers neices something day, it sounds like its going to cost me some money day, but we have to watch Emmas work now with the hospital, if you want too much time off you have to book way in advance so its a little in the air at the moment, plus i want to take em to europe and if possible the USA too, before we leave England for good

A quick check shows that Brunei Air have some availability in March for 499 return, followed by Air China at around 520-540 return.

I've never done more than 2 hours stop over. First time we had to run for the connecting plane in Amsterdam because we were running late.

Its costing me £525 with Kuwait Airways in Feb. Just over 20 hours each way.

I have just read that the cheapest air fares can be found about 8 weeks before departure.

Its interesting because I am looking at flights direct to Cebu in July and some last minute deals to fly now are around £560 but if I book now for July they are £820.

So do I chance a last minute deal or book early.

My Filipino friends suggest booking around February for July. I am going at beginning not during school holidays.

I went last May/June and booked in early-mid March. I started looking/keeping an eye on prices in January and they seemed to be cheapest around late February around 2-3 weeks before I booked. As I watched I noticed the prices gradually coming down and then gradually going up again + they started wanting extra cost for if you flew on Sundays, then later an extra cost of you flew on a Friday.

To be fair that's about right Steve. Take the £550 if you can get it . :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Just looked around for flights in March, April and May and seems to be £500 going up to £540 for the best prices. Those airlines are Royal Brunei, Kuwait, China, Singapore and Philippines airways who I didn't know were running. Cathay currently seems to be about £80 more than last years prices. Looked for a friend flying from Manchester going to Manila for 2 weeks in March 7th-25th and managed to find £443 with Philippines airways! Didn't get as far as flight times or how long the stop-overs were though. Anyone know where AUH airport is? As that's one where Philippines airways stops.
