he blames the embassy for not making it clear he needed the money in his bank account for 6 months, he should have checked himself what the requirements are, this looks like its been going on for a while, if he is on £100,000 yr and his wife is working, why didn't they stay together and save up the £64k they needed before trying to return to the UK ?

Tim Cox and Sarah Cox. Sarah is Filipino and has been denied a visa. She will have to leave the country and their two children in June Kimberly Cox and James Cox

It doesn't add up - as Joe points out he didn't check out the financial regs and they should realise that without registering with the NMC and having current work experience and qualifications she can't just start work next week at the local hospital.

no it doesn't add up, looks like she been refused twice !

Sarah Cox was featured in the Citizen earlier in the year after being refused a settlement visa to stay in the UK with her children

she must have been in the UK on a visit visa :Erm: and had to leave before it expired.

and refused again :doh

But to their disbelief, just two days before they flew home for Christmas from Oman, where Sarah has to make her visa application, they received a rejection letter stating they did not meet the financial criteria.

Why don't people just do some basic research before making plans in their lives ?

Some seem to think that because they earn 100 grand a year or more (which I also did once upon a time), they are above rules and regulations...clearly being 'better' than the rest of us hoy poloy. :NoNo:
