I pay to a couple of charities directly out of my wages every month as it's a lot easier and I think they can get the tax back. I used to have a direct debit set up for the British Legion as well but they :piss2: me off as they kept passing my details on to other organisations so I cancelled it and just make a cash donation.
I wont entertain those people in the street who try to get you signed up as it's obvious they're on a commission.

My wife gives away 10% of what we make every year. Its not a religious thing just something she believes will bring us good fortune. I went from being a cynic to a believer:icon_lol:
She doesn't give money to any large charities and only gives monies to things she is directly involved with.
She is a better person than me as i would have probably spent it on a nice holiday:biggrin:

I'd rather give to animal charities than for people, many people who benefit from 'people' charities have a voice and can protest about abuse or the way they are treated while animals can't :NoNo:
and why should you give to a charity that's help people, why doesn't the gov help, people should come first here, before we spending billions fight wars in other countries. :doh
