Make no mistake, Nigel Farage is a gifted orator who is able to clearly give an opinion an so many issue simply because he consistently sticks to the same story.
If anyone watches his EU commentaries it's also clear he has made a studious effort to really get to grips with EU law and most of the key treaties.
I enjoy him. He's an entertainer.
I believe he would be an excellent MP and a charismatic Prime Minister.
I doubt it will ever happen though simply because he is a prime mover with UKIP who imo are a crank political party.
Wish we could vote him President though

Gormless, elitist, privileged, sheltered academics pontificating about a situation of which they have no realistic understanding ...much the same as most MPs.
All busy burying their heads in the sand or just plain ignoring the views of the majority population. :NoNo:
I see it as case of Nero playing the fiddle while Rome burns .

:iagree: ... and we're already aware of how adept MPs ARE at "fiddling"!

A friend of mine was in the audience for that edition of Question Time.
She said that Mary Beard had a lot of sensible things to say and that Farage spouted a lot of nonsense and featured too heavily!

Beard - A grossly overpaid (by the taxpayer of course) handwringing academic who, like many judges is completely divorced from reality. Remembered for her offensive comment after the terrorist 9-11 attacks that America "had it coming"

Funny isn't it, how those who are quickest to condemn others for expressing concern about immigrants, nearly always live in places totally removed from the reality of the lives of those who express that concern.
Talk about "let them eat cake"
