Hi could someone help me on this, tried the immigration help line but never get through.on the payment page you can pay by cheque or fill in the debit card details so it can be taken from card, but is the debit card payment only if you apply in person or can i fill it in and they debit card when they receive application through the post.Thanks in advance..

You can pay by debit card.
Just enter the details requested
UKBA will transact payment from your bank. Just be sure your account is sufficiently filled.

The only restriction is for Maestro cards NOT issued in the UK if you are applying by post

A bit of advice, just be sure EVERYTHING IS CORRECT when you are inputting the card number and details. There are lots of complaints I've read of UKBA rejecting applications because of wrong payment details. Check it as many times as possible. Also, make sure you inform your bank about the big amount that UKBA would take from your card.
