Liverpool say they have not been contacted by Europol concerning the European Union police agency's match-fixing investigation.
Reports suggest Liverpool's 1-0 home win over Debrecen in the Champions League group stage in 2009 is one of the 680 games under suspicion.

Looks dodgy. I would blame their manager at the time and have him immediately deported whoever it was :biggrin:

Probably because they didn't cheat, so can't really be called cheating Scousers.

From what I've heard, poorly paid players from teams who were classed as the underdog in a match were approached to make sure the game was lost. Obviously the odds would have been quite low so a gigantic amount was staked which alerted suspicion.
