more anti-Romanian stories in the press

Roughly 1,600 miles away, in Dalston, North-East London, his uncle, Petru, is at this moment supposed to be visiting a branch of the money-wiring company Western Union.

So ... :cwm25: ... once the money arrives to book a ticket, Iordan clearly doesn't intend to "book a rest" :NEW5: before checking out of the Romanian Capital.

The Iordan germ is a Man Utd supporter :icon_lol:

So ... :icon_rolleyes: ... he'll be spending an "i(n)ord(i)nate" amount of his time at Old Trafford - on the strength of the proceeds raised from his sales of the 'Big Issue'??

Well if they're all going to be selling the Big Issue it could become Britains biggest selling rag.
On a serious note this is what everyone fears next year. No Doctors, No Nurses, No IT specialists, Nobody with any money, just pond life on the ponce. :cwm23: Shame on this Government if they don't make any serious attempt to stop it. Any politician who sits by and watches this happen has no love for this country and no respect for the people who voted them into office.:NoNo:

Of course they will sit by and let it happen. They have no choice.

I'm not using you Andy for my comment, just using the 'have no choice' quote.

I don't often enter such discussions but I feel strongly about this.
I do feel that our government CAN make a choice.
They can remain with EU directives and still maintain a choice.
They can also decide to ignore EU directives and close our borders. Yes it may contravene EU directives. But so what??
What would the EU courts do?
Importantly how many years could UK LEGALLY defy and challenge the EU courts.

Just my opinion.

Tbh ... so do I! And, I'll wager, :REGamblMoney01HL1: so, too, does 99 percent of the British population.

:gp:s ... if other, LARGER, European countries can mount a challenge - so also, can WE!

Ignore certain EU directives Terpe? Well it certainly works for the French! Imagine them abiding by some rule which would disadvantage them - as if :icon_lol:
The French aren't alone in this either, it seems only the UK goes by all the rules.

Anyone notice btw how the Mail in true form has found what must be some of the least photogenic Romanians in the country? If they ever made a Romanian version of the movie "Deliverance", they could use them as extras.

As an aside, anyone else totally disgusted how the Big Issue has become a loophole? That publication was set up to help the homeless get back dignity and on their feet again. It was only ever meant to be a stopgap for anyone selling it, so he or she could move to better times.
I've started saying good morning to the big issues sellers in this town, in Romanian. You should see their faces when they realise

I doubt it - The Telegraph exposed it two years ago (07/02/2011)

Romanian immigrants 'sell Big Issue to gain benefits'

Romanian immigrants are becoming Big Issue
sellers in order to gain state benefits through a tax loophole, it has been disclosed.
