Hi,
To be honest I can't understand how to being qualified for these and if I asked my husband he got no clue( as always), My husband earned £33,000 per year and I earned £9,000 per year we got 2 kids the eldest is 5 years old and 3 weeks old. I think we received child tax credit for £20 a week...The child tax credit is that the same to family allowance? I just want to know what are the benefits we are eligible tho as we all paid too much tax...Every little help..lol..

hi jane , yes every little help but the thing is the more you pay tax here the more you dont get any,...you are not alone (husband and i lost our joint claim for child tax credits a couple of years ago because we dont have any child care cost both our income is above the average)..have a look at this links:
the only benefit we claim is child benefit which i think every child is entitled in this country.
