This is typical - the case involves a "refugee" aka "asylum seeker" who has fled to the UK from some terrible country seeking sanctuary here.
He is now using legal aid pursuing a case to be reunited with his wife who he was quite happy to abandon in the ghastly country facing all sorts of horrors. There is probably a parallel case running involving his 6 kids.
