:NoNo: 23yrs of his life wasted, a reason why we should not have the death penalty

David Ranta was sentenced to 37 years behind bars after being convicted in 1991 of killing an Orthodox Jewish rabbi during a botched robbery. He always maintained his innocence, and was released on Thursday.

Disagree, in the case of clearly proven crimes (DNA, multiple witnesses, CCTV etc), it will free up a lot of jail space, prevent re-offending, and provide a real deterrent.

this guy who served 23yrs must have been clearly proven of committing murder eg beyond resonable doubt ..

If it's 100% clear as in Ian Huntly,Peter Sutcliffe etc then death penalty should be mandatory:xxgrinning--00xx3:
